About the new trends. Please sign this petition to prevent the manufacturers from banning plastic on adult diapers.

Adult diapers and baby diapers and ABDL diapers.

The “good” diapers (the premium IC and all of the ABDL) are acutely aware of what their customers want, and are very unlikely to make a decision that costs them a lot of revenue. Remember, even Abena tried that with their Xplus line, and their accounting department wailed on them with a ClueBat less than a year later. NO abdl diaper manufacturer is that stupid.

It would be nice if you can get everyone to sign this petition for me?

petitions are some of the most useless things in existence. do you have any idea how many of those stupid petitions are being signed every day? yet nothing ever happens

European Tena Slips went totally cloth-backed and I bet they lost sales as a few years later they brought the plastic Active fit out. Also Molicare stopped production of their plastic Molicare Slip super (purple) only to bring out the (blue) Molicare slip maxi. For them to do that I bet they lost a large market share in sales.

All disposable diapers are plastic-backed. The only difference is whether it’s a nonwoven backsheet made of plastic fibers (often polypropylene, but many plastics can be used) that are thermally bonded into a film, or a backsheet made of a plastic film such as polyethylene. Nonwoven films are not inherently more or less biodegradable than sheet films.

If there’s a ban on plastic-backed diapers, it’s going to affect all currently available disposables. The only place I know of for certain that has banned disposable diapers is Vanatu, but it’s entirely possible that other places have as well.

Manufacturers haven’t dropped plastic-backed diapers for environmental reasons. It’s all about market forces and demand.

I think you need to use fear to Force companies to understand Cloth back disposable diapers are not safe. Try this Put on the best cloth back diaper on and put plastic pants on. You will find Moisture in the inside of plastic pants on the first wetting. Or even sit on a plastic sheet. You will feel Moisture on the plastic sheet. Or even feel the outer shell of Cloth back diapers You will feel damp even in one wetting on the best cloth back disposable diapers.

Now the question you have to ask people. If you can feel the Cloth back diaper feel damp on the outside is it going to stay on the diaper. The answer will be no. Then you need to throw fear into people.

It is not yet known whether other non-respiratory body fluids from an infected person including vomit, urine, breast milk, or semen can contain viable, infectious SARS-CoV-2.

Personally I like both. They both have a purpose…even if they don’t appeal to everyone one. Let the market speak, vote with your dollar. Abena and Tena both brought back a plastic backed product due to demand and financial blows. Companies want to make money…if a decision messes with their bottom line…they’ll do something if they have any sense.

I prefer cloth backed as baby diapers are cloth backed these days (and when I was little). But getting rid of plastic ones is a bad idea, as a lot of people like them. They should definately make diapers more eco friendly though.

There is literally no danger of plastic backed adult diapers going away. ABDL companies can make whatever they want. They know their consumer base and it would be suicide to switch. It’s going to happen. The petition is unneccesary.

Abri Form attempted to eliminate plastic … their sales dropped like a rock .

The major companies are very aware that most of us do not like cloth backed diapers … and trying to force folks to use them is bad for sales .

That’s funny, I actually prefer cloth backed as I find that the plastic backed wings are prickly, and plastic backed diapers sweat a lot more in the heat. At any rate, I haven’t heard anything about there being a threat to the adult diaper supply. They’re a vital medical product for millions of people.

There’s no law requiring manufacturers to make a specific product as long it is within regulations or if forced for military reasons. Plastic will always be made because there is a big market for it. Giving up plastic just means giving up a lot of money and businesses don’t want that lol.

I think focus should be on recycling or energy conversion.

Well look at what happen with reusable bags in CA. We have the Covid-19 and all store banned reusable bags in their stores to protect their workers. Unless you are bagging your own stuff.

Are companies really going to ban diaper companies from using plastic on diapers? I can’t find a source for it when I looked.
