AB nappies don't do anything for me.

In 2016 I had another binge. I like trying different branded nappies so purchased every brand of AB nappies from nappiesRus. I have my order saved on my account and this is what I purchased. These are single packets. It’s the first time I purchased and tried AB nappies.

ABU Cushies

Super Dry Kids

ABU lavender

ABU Little Paws

ABU Space Diaper

Bambino Beliisimo

MyDiaper White

MyDiaper Animals

I found out after trying one printed nappy I don’t like AB nappies. They don’t do anything for me. I had them awhile and needed room so chucked them all away, most of them unopened. I thought about sending them to a charity shop but chickened out.

Now the more medical/clinical looking/smelling incontinence nappy, I love these. I love BetterDry’s absorbency but would love if these were more medical looking like Tena Slips.

I am the same way. I very much prefer white diapers although I don’t mind the blue mega max or the black Rearz (when they had them). Although the printed diapers don’t and any extra excitement for me, I will still wear them if they are a good diaper. However, if there is a white version of that same diaper, I’m going with white 10/10 times.

You, in not so many words, have very poignantly phrased the divide between ABs and DLs. We may often share the same struggle, but seek shelter in different harbors.

For me, while the padding carries some importance, I wouldn’t put it that much above that of cute overalls or plushies. When it comes to padding, it has to be cute. I think it comes from the fact that the emotional fulfillment stems from regressing to the role of a youngish four-year-old, as opposed to the material itself or fulfilling an adult kink.

I say this not with judgement. We just approach the world differently. It is amazing sometimes how differently we view , despite being grouped together. :joy: regardless, I hope you find the diaper that meets your desires. It’s a mission we all can agree upon.

I NEED diapers 24/7 -

Honestly in most cases don’t care if it’s medical or AB - although mostly use cloth diapers now - but do keep disposables around to - actually had AB diapers once while in the hospital (IC issue WELL documented).

You know now that you said megamax and the black Rearz seduction, I see north shore selling black megamaxs, and they’re going to sell like fire :fire:

I can understand this. I wonder if it’s because almost all AB/DL printed nappies come from similar production lines in China and therefore have similar material, smell, feel etc.

By contrast, the European and US made incontinence nappies all seem to have their own different properties and push different buttons accordingly.

For example, despite the lack of prints, the different plastics, fits and padding arrangements means that different European incontinence nappies come much closer to nappies I wore as a child than a printed Chinese nappy.

For me these adult nappies equate to the 80s or 90s version of child nappies in fit, look or feel:

  • Abena L4/ DryLife XPlus = Peaudouce

  • Forma Easyslip or ATN’s = Pampers

  • Drylife Slip Super = Huggies

  • Forma Comfort X3 = Sainsbury’s (feel, not look).

  • Molicare Maxi = Boots

Bit extreme throwing them out…

I’m not bothered if I’m wearing a medical nappy or an AB one…just so long as I get to fill it and it doesn’t leak.

I can’t understand why people refer to ‘padding’.

to each their own, obviously.. but the term ‘padding’ never made much sense to me either. i guess it is at least descriptively accurate.

What a waste didn’t you have any friends you could give them to. … Maybe you just went off being AB.

I’m actually the same way. When wearing disposables once in a while I get the urge to try different diapers. I prefer a white quite diaper and I actually really hate the crinkle noises. I’m only a DL and have absolutely no interest in AB. For some reason I did order some printed dipers once. Crinklz with astronauts. They do actually look pretty cute even though I don’t have a thing for that. But actually for some reason I find them more embarrassing then wearing a normal diaper. Also the noise that they make when you walk I find terrible. Sounds like walking with a garbage bag on. I prefer more of the discrete Style. I did like the capacity and how they felt. But I also think I had faulty ones because every time I wore one, I had all these little small sap crystal balls all over the place and had to shower after each wearing. Even though I didn’t fill it to the max capacity… I think I am going to throw the rest of them away.

You could sell them on here if they are unopened or give to a worthy newbie - apart from the postage etc.

Why do people call nappies padding here? Just wondered …

I’m in the strictly DL category as well. I prefer white pull ups and really have no interest in wearing printed diapers. But, to each his own. I often wonder how many people would choose to wear diapers if there wasn’t a social stigma associated with them. And, if everyone wore them that wanted to wear them, I wonder what the percentages would be that wear AB diapers vs. white medical diapers. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm…

Thats an interesting point, for me, I cannot yet call them my nappies, I would rather call them diapers, I am a Dad to an 8 year old and having gone through years of changing him, I for some reason cannot call them nappies! Had to have a different work, and I decided to take the American word, considering I am Irish, my hubby laughs every time I say Diaper, and he has expressed that in the UK they are nappys…!

Hmm Interesting - as you say. I have always thought nappies bring up images of babyhood whereas diapers, for me have no connotations and sounds medical - if anything.. But padding - makes me think of cricket pads - and I’m not interested in sport at all. Well, whatever. Enjoy!

I don’t really think many people would choose to wear nappies. They wouldn’t like them at all. A man pissing into a urinal seems much more preferable to him than feeling the swelling with pee of a nappy. Not even considering the connotations. Men who have to wear nappies (which they call diapers despite being English) that I’ve met at hospital find it very hard to accept them - they hate it.
