AB/DL Emergency Services worker

Hey everyone

anyone else here work for the 999 family and find it hard to cope with the job/lifestyle?

love to hear your responses

M

First of all thank you for your service. You put in a lot of work to assist the community.

My mother is an Advanced Emergency Medical Dispatcher, with myself in the training phase to become a Special Constable (About go to do my drug tests and fitness tests) - I’m also curious. As for being on the job, I highly doubt I’ll wear unless doing office work.

No, but I occasionally work in a special care nursery and am a birth doula.

I can perform quite well professionally. But…

Awesome stuff! I am a full time PC and find the balance hard but have managed to get away with it! If you need any help or advice DM me, I’ll be more than happy to help

that sounds like an amazing role! You must have fun with it at times

Indeed I do. I am not as activr as I was. I retired 5 years ago to raise my granddaughter. But I’m on call. always up for cuddle time or helping a mom learn to nurse and more importantly keep on nursing!!!

I just did a birth a few weeks ago. It had been so long it brought tears to my eyes – come to think of it they all do

I have been blessed

Thank you for what you do.

And yea. I have to keep the two words separate from each other.

Sometimes it is hard as my Little side can leek out. But that’s my child like personality.

Making sure that I have Little space time is really important to me. As I can regress and be myself. Then putting on the adult mask is easier.

But playing pretend to be a adult and Adulting is hard. For a Little boy like me. But it has to be done.

Hugs

Actually “retired” to raise my granddaughter. it has been a challenge but a blessing at the same time. I get to play in playgrounds, build sand castles, go to story hour and all sorts of little kid things. Xxoo
